STEMWORKS – Unley High School
Unley, South Australia
Department for Education
Year of completion:
The STEMWORKS refurbishment at Unley High School included the radical reinvention of existing foyers, mezzanines and lab spaces into STEM facilities that are focused on secondary years learning.
The design creates a facility that has a strong connection between indoor and outdoor learning spaces, where a fluid transition between the spaces is vital to the functionality of the STEMWORKS project. Moreover, the design maximises the existing double height spaces for vertical STEM experiments and displays whilst a new two storey graphic wall for public presentation was installed to the main street.
