Project description:
The Jamestown project represents a significant community asset for this mid-North town, encompassing the development of a community accessed Resource Centre, Administration area & consolidation of site facilities on one single campus. A high degree of community input was received on the project, including sourcing funds from Local Council to establish a Local Community Room incorporating local history displays & video-conferencing facilities, together with contributions from local sporting clubs. The Resource Centre utilises as assembly of operable walls to maximize flexibility between spaces, while the new building itself is positioned for maximum exposure towards Main Street and acts as a modern counterpoint to the existing heritage buildings.
