The Independent Living Units provide a unique type of accommodation within the bounds of Mobilong Prison. The facilities are divided into separate secure living units, each accommodating a small group of inmates encouraged to organise their own day-to-day activities in view of returning to life in the general community. Other unique elements of this Corrections project include the introduction of a wide range of ESD principles to prison infrastructure.
